Day One: On our way!

Day One:
Packing finished.  Check.
Suitcases labeled. Check.
Snacks packed. Check.
Passports secured. Check.
Boarding passes secured. Check.
Flat Stanley in my purse. Check.
Lots of Purell packed in suitcases and purse. Check. Check. Check. Check. Check.
Waiting for Jay to take us to the airport. Check.
Won't be long until we're in The City of Lights!
The excitement is building (as is the exhaustion from getting ready).

So happy that we have our French friends staying in our house while we stay in theirs.  I hope they have as much fun as we do.

One day and counting!  Tomorrow the big adventure begins.  Hoping the travel gods are with us and that our one-bag allowance does not exceed 50 lbs.  Mine is registering at 47# and I'm hoping it is calibrated with the airline's scale!  I remember the good old days when international travel allowed two bags per person.  Sigh.  It's back to packing and repacking for me...
